The Nova is a unique putter designed with overmold technology. The flight plate is made from a firm XT material that's fused to a grippy putter XT plastic rim. The soft rim absorbs impact and sticks the landing while the firm flight plate allows for powerful throws making the Nova an excellent putter and approach disc.

Plastic XT Overmold
XT Overmold discs are made of two separte chemically bonded pieces. Because of that they offer a very firm flight plate and extremely grippy rim.
XT is a tough blend of Pro that was originally designed for the Nova. It worked so well, it spread to other models. Grip is off the charts and durability falls somewhere between Pro and Star. XT is more firm than Yeti Pro, and less firm than KC Pro with a unique grip that feels great in the hand, and helps stop the disc quickly when landing.
The only two discs made in XT Overmold are XT Atlas and XT Nova.
